World Card Making Day

Welcome Crafters and Card Makers - On Saturday, October 2, 2021! Today is World Cardmaking Day. Currently, I am in my studio, having a wonderful time assembling miscellaneous cards which I  previously designed but, were waiting to be completed. I am also designing and cutting bits and pieces for my 2021 Thanksgiving Cards. The plan targeted is to get my cards assembled and ready for early mailing! Stayed tuned for a tutorial on my final selection.

Shown here, is a card I have made to order for a friend who needed a sympathy card.

I used Soft Suede cardstock (#115318) for the card base, the embossed inset on the front of the card is Crumb Cake cardstock (#120953) and the embossing folder is Woodland (retired). The insert on the inside of the card is Very Vanilla cardstock (#101650) and the ink used for the sentiments is Early Espresso (#147114). Embellishments are narrow vanilla ribbon from my stash and Geniel Gems (#155500). The sentiment on the outside of the card is from Heal Your Heart, a 2021 Sale-A-Bration cling stamp (#155291) and is no longer available. The sentiment was stamped in a die from Stitched So Sweetly (#151699). The sentiment inside the card is from the Inspired Thoughts cling stamp (155536) in the current Annual Catalog. I stamped the small, falling leaves, both inside the card and on the envelope from the Welcoming Woods photopolymer stamp set (156550) which is in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog.

Farewell Sweet Summer!

Oh my goodness, Crafters and Stampers! It is nearly Fall and I will miss working with the fun and whimsical stamp set and punch that is in the Annual Catalog - May 2021 - April 2022. I am glad that I have made several cards using the Sweet Ice Cream Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Ice Cream Cone Builder.

I named this project Cool Card Creation and used cardstock and Designer Series Paper that coordinated perfectly to fashion my Birthday Card. Adding the Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles from the Suite, my card looked good enough to eat! The detailed list below will allow you to find just the products needed when you plan your own Cool Card and you are able to continue to get the stamp set and the punch as well as card stock and embellishments when you visit my store at: https://cynthialarrison.stampinup.net

And so, enjoy one last taste of Summer when you make your

Sweet Ice Cream creation!
