Beyond the Horizon

Opening this box in late March, I excitedly planned my Alternative cards with these products as well as additional products from the New Horizons Suite in the January through June 2022 Mini Catalog. I also used sentiments from the Massive Thanks (#152578 - now retired) and the Artfully Layered Bundle (#157761) in the January through June 2022 Mini Catalog. I used the Tasteful Textures 3D Embossing Folder (#152718) and the Greenery Embossing Folders (#152716) pages 154 and 155 in the May through April 2022 Annual Catalog. Two embellishments from the May 2021 - April 2022 Annual Catalog used were: Opal Rounds (#154289 and 2021-2023 In Color Jewels (#155571) on pages 142-143.

Daffodil Daydream

Dainty Daffodils grace these Spring cards
which are sure to delight anyone.

Although they have been hiding in ice and snow for much of the country, here in Florida, we see these cheerful little blooms popping up everywhere. They made their appearance first however, in the January - June 2022 Stampin UP ® Mini Catalog and warmed the hearts of everyone who loves flowers and the promise of Spring.

The Daffodil Daydream Bundle (#1577950) can be found on Page 37 of the Mini Catalog. This beautiful Cling stamp set (#157786) and coordinating Daffodil Dies (#157794) will be carrying over to the new Annual Catalog - May 2022 through April 2023.

The above cards were designed with birthdays in mind but, would be lovely Passover or Easter cards as well as for Mother's Day.

Safari Celebration Paper Pumpkin February 2022

The February Edition of Paper Pumpkin was a fun and frivolous collection of colors, designer papers, envelopes and ephemera. Opening my box, I determined to fashion cards with interactive and alternative designs. The kit composed of supplies for 9 cards and 9 envelopes which were color-coordinated to enhance the completed cards. The coordinating Stampin' Up® Colors for this month's project were: Fresh Freesia, Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Succulent and Soft Suede.

In building the alternate designs for each card, I used coordinating cardstock, Matte Decorative Dots (#156289) and a doily from Square Vellum Doilies (#152484). I also used a motion Wobble® component (not Stampin Up product) and a small Resin Cupcake studded with a sparkle gem.

This project ended up being a successful challenge, making cards with interactive pieces which would offer a surprise for the recipient. I targeted five of the nine cards to give to Grandchildren in my family at the end of the school year. These cards will hold a gift card, congratulating them on the end of a school year well-done. I also fashioned a few cards with Birthday sentiments.

These are the cards I designed.

The  Hula Hoop Monkey is affixed with
a Wobble®.

This Girly Gazelle holds a cupcake
for the birthday recipient.

The Skating Elephant glides across
the card when the recipient pulls
the ribbon.
